The event occurred as the woman was being transported from her home, located on Avenida de las Águilas, in the Latina district. Samur-Protección Civil paramedics arrived at the residence around 11:30 AM, where the expectant mother was experiencing contractions every three minutes, indicating an advanced stage of labor.
“"There was practically no time to reach the hospital."
The birth took place on the ambulance stretcher, midway between the vehicle and the hospital's emergency room, where the mother was already expected for delivery. The team acted swiftly, and the process proceeded normally despite the circumstances.
The baby, a boy named Adriano, was born in perfect health and cried immediately after delivery. Skin-to-skin contact was performed with the mother, and both she and the newborn are in optimal condition following the intervention of the medical team.
