The Union of Madrid Sports Federations (UFEDEMA) and Madridiario, SL, have sealed an agreement to enhance regional sports information, creating a new specialized section in the digital newspaper starting May 1, 2026.
The collaboration between both entities represents a significant step forward for Madrid's sports ecosystem, seeking to strengthen its visibility and recognize the work of federations, clubs, and athletes. The agreement, signed at UFEDEMA's headquarters, aims to reinforce the dissemination and knowledge of sports in the Community of Madrid through specialized informative content.
The agreement was signed by José Brías Díez, CEO-General Director of Grupo Madridiario, SL, and Vicente Martínez Orga, President of UFEDEMA. This pact will allow the creation of a section exclusively dedicated to regional sports in the digital newspaper, complementing the existing sports offerings. This new space will provide diverse coverage, including current news, interviews with prominent figures in the sector, and in-depth reports.
“
"This collaboration will provide greater visibility to the work of federations and clubs, and will contribute to promoting sports practice and its values among all of Madrid society."
The initiative seeks to promote sports practice in the region, give visibility to less media-covered disciplines, and highlight those in which Madrid particularly excels. Special attention will be paid to adapted sports, grassroots sports, and women's sports, considered fundamental pillars for social and sports development. UFEDEMA, which brings together 59 Madrid sports federations, will be responsible for supplying content, facilitating access to a network that integrates more than 10,000 clubs and nearly 500,000 federated athletes in the region.
“
"This agreement represents a step forward in the commitment to local and quality information, bringing the richness and diversity of Madrid sports in all its aspects even closer to readers."
With this alliance, Madridiario, which already features sports content and a specific section dedicated to minority sports, Fuera del Radar, strengthens its editorial proposal. The information will be aimed at all audiences, with a particular focus on young people, consolidating its position as a reference media outlet in the region. Federated athletes in Madrid will be able to access this content both through the newspaper's daily bulletin and from the UFEDEMA website, thus expanding its reach and dissemination.
