The Complutense University of Madrid has announced a new call for financial aid for the 2025-2026 academic year, targeting refugees and students in vulnerable situations due to humanitarian conflicts, with the aim of ensuring their access to higher education.

The application period for these scholarships begins on Monday, April 20, and will run until May 4. Interested individuals must submit their applications through the official website of the academic institution.
The call includes competitive scholarships with a maximum amount of 10,500 euros. These grants cover 100% of the tuition cost, for both first and second enrollment, for undergraduate or master's studies during the 2025-2026 academic year. For master's degrees, the maximum grant amount will not exceed 2,100 euros.
Additionally, the Complutense University of Madrid has allocated up to 240,000 euros to support students in vulnerable situations due to humanitarian conflicts. These grants also include full coverage of university tuition fees.
Beneficiaries of these grants will have the option to apply for additional financial support. This supplementary aid is designed to finance up to 100% of the cost of residence in the university's own halls of residence, thereby facilitating accommodation for students.

"The initiative seeks to facilitate access and continuity of higher education for displaced persons or those in situations of special vulnerability."
