The Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) has inaugurated a new campus in Torrejón de Ardoz, Community of Madrid, which will offer five official degrees starting in September.

The academic institution, recognized for its specialization in sports, health, and nutrition, strengthens its presence in the Madrid region with modern facilities resulting from its collaboration with the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE). The campus, located at Avenida de la Constitución, 190, is now accepting applications for degrees in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Food Science and Technology with Nutrition.
The first phase of this project involved an investment of 20 million euros and the creation of over 200 jobs. The facilities, spanning more than 11,500 m² in the former Camino Real school, include laboratories, simulation rooms, specialized classrooms, a chapel, a study room, a cafeteria, and green areas.
The UCAM-COE Campus has hosted various events, such as open days, in-person exams for online degrees, and thematic gatherings, including the IV Conference of the Association of Dietitians-Nutritionists in Spanish Football and an International Prayer Vigil for Peace.
With nearly 30 years of experience, UCAM aims to provide a comprehensive academic model emphasizing excellence, personalized attention, university-business transfer, entrepreneurship training, and international projection, grounded in Christian humanism values. The alliance with the COE has enabled the offering of free university access courses for athletes, including Olympians.
The university is recognized for its academic standing in national and international rankings, maintaining its QS Stars 5-star accreditation and being listed among the world's top universities in areas like employer reputation, internationalization, and sustainability. Its performance in graduate employability is also highlighted, ranking in the Top 20 of Spanish universities according to the U-Ranking.
This new academic offering in Torrejón de Ardoz aligns with sectors experiencing high employment demand, aiming to provide practical studies with personalized support to local youth. The campus aspires to become an educational benchmark in the Henares Corridor.
