A 70-year-old man and woman sustained minor contusions after their car overturned in the Olavide parking garage, located in Madrid's Chamberí district, necessitating the closure of the access tunnel for several hours.

The incident occurred shortly after 8:35 PM, when the couple lost control of their vehicle, causing it to overturn and fall onto a lower ramp of the parking facility. Eyewitnesses quickly intervened, assisting the occupants out of the car even before emergency services arrived.
The injured individuals were attended to by SAMUR and subsequently transported to Fundación Jiménez Díaz Hospital for further assessment of their minor contusions.
Multiple units from the Fire Department were dispatched to the scene to conduct a complex rescue operation. After a painstaking maneuver, they successfully righted the vehicle and secured the affected area of the parking garage.
As a result of the accident and the rescue efforts, the Municipal Police had to close the Olavide tunnel, which provides access to the parking lot, for approximately three hours, impacting traffic in the vicinity.
