A 70-year-old man and woman sustained minor injuries last Friday when their car overturned in the Olavide parking lot, located in the Chamberí district, leading to a three-hour access closure.

The incident occurred shortly after 8:35 PM, when the vehicle lost control and plunged down the ramp to the lower level of the parking facility. Witnesses present at the scene acted quickly, helping the couple exit the car before emergency services arrived.
SAMUR attended to the two occupants, who suffered minor contusions. Both were transported to the Fundación Jiménez Díaz Hospital for a more thorough medical evaluation to rule out any complications.
Several units of the Fire Department were dispatched to the scene to perform a complex rescue operation, successfully righting the car and securing the area. The Municipal Police, meanwhile, closed the Olavide tunnel, which provides access to the parking lot, for approximately three hours while rescue and cleanup efforts were completed.
