Two elderly women were seriously injured this Thursday after being run over by a vehicle in the Usera district of Madrid.

A serious traffic accident occurred in the Usera district of Madrid this Thursday, June 4th, when a car hit two elderly women. The incident took place around 7:00 PM at the intersection of Isabelita Usera street and Felipe Castro street.
As a result of the impact, both victims, aged 78 and 79, were trapped and injured under the car. The Madrid City Council Fire Department had to intervene to free one of the women who was trapped beneath the vehicle's chassis.
Medical teams from Samur-Civil Protection arrived at the scene to treat the injured, who suffered hip fractures and other significant traumas. They were urgently transported with potentially serious prognoses: one to Hospital Clínico San Carlos and the other to Hospital Gregorio Marañón.
A duty psychologist from Samur provided emotional support to the vehicle's driver and the victims' families. The Madrid Municipal Police has initiated the investigation report and escorted the ambulances to expedite the transfer to the hospitals.
