Two elderly women seriously injured after being hit by a car in Usera

Both 78-year-old women suffered hip fractures and other injuries when they were run over by a car at the intersection of Isabelita Usera and Felipe Castro streets.

Two 78-year-old women were seriously injured this Thursday after being hit by a car at the intersection of Isabelita Usera Street and Felipe Castro Street in Madrid.

The incident occurred around 7 PM. Both victims suffered hip fractures and other injuries as a result of the impact.
Samur-PC medical personnel attended to the two women at the accident scene. One of them had to be freed by the Madrid Firefighters, as she was trapped under the vehicle.
Subsequently, both were transferred as potentially serious patients to the San Carlos Clinical Hospital and the Gregorio Marañón Hospital.
A Samur psychologist provided support to the car's driver and the victims' relatives. The Municipal Police have initiated the accident report and are accompanying the medical convoy to facilitate the transfers.
