Twelve Drug Dens Dismantled and 30 Arrested in Madrid Anti-Drug Operation

The National Police has seized over six kilograms of narcotics, weapons, and 42,000 euros in cash across various operations in the Community of Madrid.

The National Police has dismantled twelve drug dens and arrested over 30 individuals in a comprehensive anti-drug operation across the Community of Madrid, seizing six kilograms of narcotics, weapons, and 42,000 euros in cash.

This recent intervention brings the total to 64 drug sales points dismantled and 97 arrests made in the region during the first quarter of the year, as reported by the Superior Police Headquarters of Madrid. The operations were carried out in various towns and districts, highlighting the diverse methods employed by traffickers.
One of the initial operations took place on February 12 in Parla, where a dwelling used for drug sales was identified. The search led to the seizure of cocaine, marijuana, and preparation tools, along with 1,000 euros in cash and stolen items exchanged for doses. Five individuals were arrested for an alleged public health offense.
Subsequently, in the Madrid district of Tetuán, the Police simultaneously raided three apartments in the same building. One hundred grams of cocaine and ketamine, sales and consumption tools, and electronic devices were confiscated. Eight people were arrested, also accused of criminal organization, as the occupied properties functioned as drug sales and consumption centers, with one even serving as a smoking den.
On February 25, in Ciudad Lineal, officers arrested a man using an electric scooter to distribute drugs, finding ten grams of cocaine and 4,000 euros in cash at his home. Another significant operation occurred in Villa de Vallecas, concluding an investigation initiated in May of last year. A marijuana plantation intended for the international market was discovered, leading to the seizure of over 17,000 euros, several firearms and bladed weapons, ammunition, and cultivation equipment. Two individuals were arrested for public health offenses, electricity fraud, and illegal possession of weapons.
In Fuenlabrada, on March 19, a drug den was dismantled, yielding half a kilo of hashish and marijuana, along with processing tools. Two men who contacted buyers via instant messaging apps were arrested. Four days later, on March 23, in Móstoles, another sales point in an occupied dwelling was broken up, where drugs were offered in exchange for sexual favors. Ten grams of cocaine and ketamine, drug residue, and 16 mobile phones were seized.
On March 13, in Carabanchel, the Police seized over six kilograms of narcotics and 13 liters of chemical products for their preparation, resulting in the arrest of six men, two of whom were imprisoned. The police offensive also reached Torrejón de Ardoz on March 24, where a drug den near children's areas was dismantled, revealing hashish, marijuana, knives, 1,600 euros in cash, and jewelry.
Finally, in Pozuelo de Alarcón, on March 26, in a joint operation with the Local Police, a raid on a home uncovered a plantation with over a thousand marijuana plants in the basement, leading to one arrest. On the same day, in Fuenlabrada, another person was arrested at their home with nearly half a kilo of hashish and cocaine, over 12,000 euros in cash, and a vehicle.
