Official data published by the Ministry of the Interior of the Government of Spain confirms the positive security trend in Torrejón de Ardoz. During the first quarter of 2026, the city recorded a crime rate of 9.39 offenses per thousand inhabitants, one of the lowest figures in the entire region.
This statistic ranks Torrejón as the second safest city in the Community of Madrid among municipalities with over 99,000 inhabitants, surpassed only by Fuenlabrada. Furthermore, it positions itself as the safest locality within the Henares Corridor.
The data reflects a notable reduction in crime of 1.6% compared to the same period in the previous year, 2025. Between January and March 2026, a total of 1,348 criminal offenses were recorded in the municipality.
The report from the Ministry of the Interior highlights that Torrejón is the only municipality in the Henares Corridor that has experienced a decrease in crime during this quarter. While the Madrid city reduces its rate by 1.6%, other municipalities in the area such as Alcalá de Henares (with a 13.5% increase), Coslada (27.4%), Mejorada del Campo (6.8%), and San Fernando de Henares (29.3%) have seen their figures rise.
This official statistic, compiled from reports registered by the State Security Forces and Corps, reaffirms Torrejón de Ardoz's position as one of the municipalities with the lowest crime rate in the Community of Madrid.
