Atlético de Madrid and River Plate have reached an agreement for the transfer of Argentine winger Thiago Almada to the Buenos Aires club, as confirmed by both entities this Saturday. The player will continue his career with the Argentine team after having worn the Rojiblanco jersey for one season.
Almada, who arrived last summer from Botafogo and after spending half a season on loan at Olympique de Lyon, thus ends his time with the team led by Diego Pablo Simeone. During his only campaign as a Rojiblanco, he played 40 matches, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
“"From Atlético de Madrid, we wish him the best of luck in his future professional and personal endeavors."
