Throughout the month, the theater will host three productions aimed at engaging younger audiences, exploring new scenic languages, and providing a platform for young talents. This initiative seeks to foster experimentation and dialogue between tradition and contemporary approaches in the operatic field.
Between April 11 and 19, twenty performances of 'Un instante en suspensión' will be offered, an experience that invites spectators to journey through different areas of the theater. This proposal integrates music, movement, visual arts, and scientific elements, encouraging reflection on the poetics of time.
On April 26, the educational concert '¿Te suena? La novia vendida' will take the stage. Led by Fernando Palacios and guest artists, this event will explore the sound world of Bedrich Smetana's opera, with two scheduled performances for that day.
The April program will conclude on April 29 and 30 with 'Micróperas', a series of three short operas inspired by Mozart's 'The Magic Flute'. These pieces, titled 'Testigo', 'Inexistencia', and 'El portal de la esfinge', offer a fresh perspective on the classic work.
The initiative proposes a space for experimentation and dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity where the legacy of the classics becomes a starting point for new voices and new perspectives on current opera.
This project benefits from the collaboration of prominent institutions such as the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid, the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático, and the Crescendo program of the Fundación de Amigos del Teatro Real, underscoring a commitment to artistic training and development.
