The organization Plena Inclusión Madrid has revealed the recipients of its 12th annual awards. Among those honored is the Prado Museum, recognized for its outstanding work in the cultural sphere and its strong commitment to cognitive accessibility, an initiative aimed at making art and culture understandable for all individuals.
For its sustained commitment to cognitive accessibility in the cultural field, incorporating easy-to-read resources and adapting content so that access to art and culture is understandable for all people.
In addition to the art gallery, the awards have recognized the ADEY Foundation for its dedication to promoting social, educational, and health projects that foster equal opportunities and the well-being of vulnerable individuals. The Las Rozas City Council has also been awarded for integrating the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities into its municipal policies, promoting accessibility, social participation, and citizen awareness.
Finally, the career of Paulino Azúa has been distinguished, highlighting his fundamental role in the development of the associative movement for intellectual disability in Spain. The jury, composed of the Board of Directors of Plena Inclusión Madrid, emphasized the commitment of all awardees to the social inclusion of people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The awards ceremony will take place on April 24.
