Paseo de Recoletos in Madrid will host the 48th edition of the Old and Second-Hand Book Fair from April 30 to May 17, 2026, bringing together specialized bookstores from across Spain with thousands of titles.

Organized by the Asociación de Libreros de Lance de Madrid since 1977, this fair is a meeting point for book lovers and collectors. The previous edition in 2025 saw the participation of 37 specialized bookstores, of which 23 were from Madrid and the rest came from various cities such as Barcelona, Seville, Pamplona, Granada, Salamanca, Segovia, Zaragoza, Huesca, and Valencia.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a vast catalog of over half a million items, with prices to suit all budgets. From affordable editions starting at 1 euro to valuable pieces costing thousands of euros, the fair offers a diversity that includes first editions, incunabula, original manuscripts, and other bibliographic treasures.
In addition to second-hand and out-of-print books, the fair will feature a significant selection of antique volumes, engravings, maps, rare editions, newspapers, magazines, and paper collectibles. It is an ideal occasion to find works that complement any personal library or to discover unique pieces of great historical and cultural value.
