An immersive virtual reality expedition, Horizon of Khufu, is set to arrive in Madrid next month, transporting visitors over 4,500 years back in time to explore the wonders of Ancient Egypt and the Great Pyramid.

This live experience, created by Excurio and presented by Fever, the leading global platform for culture and live entertainment discovery, offers a unique opportunity to delve into the mysteries of the Great Pyramid with unprecedented realism. The initiative follows the success of the virtual reality experience Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City.
Developed in collaboration with Egyptologist Peter Der Manuelian of Harvard University and his team from the Giza Project, the experience utilizes state-of-the-art viewers and motion-tracking technology. This allows participants to travel directly to the Giza plateau, where they can understand the pyramid's construction, its purpose, and the grandeur of the Egyptian civilization.
Visitors, accompanied by a virtual guide, will traverse chambers and passages that are almost inaccessible in reality, learn about the rituals of the pharaohs, and discover the history of the workers, architects, and priests of Ancient Egypt. The experience includes exploring the Giza plateau, entering the King's Chamber and Queen's Chamber within the Great Pyramid, a recreation of a pharaonic funeral, and a panoramic flight over the pyramids.
Having captivated over 2 million visitors in cities across Europe, North America, and the Middle East, Horizon of Khufu stands out for its cultural authenticity and striking realism. This multisensory experience, lasting approximately 45 minutes, merges history and technology through immersive storytelling, spatial sound, and 360° visuals.
Its arrival in Madrid, opening on April 24, 2026, at Calle Raimundo Fernández Villaverde, 57, underscores Fever's commitment to bringing innovative cultural experiences to new audiences, using technology to transform how we engage with history. The recommended age for this activity is 10 and up, and tickets are available exclusively through the Fever app and website.
