The 21 Distritos program by the Madrid City Council is organizing the sixth edition of the art and family festival 21 Distrititos, featuring free activities including theater, music, circus, and creative workshops on April 25th and 26th in Vicálvaro and Villaverde.

This festival, designed for family cultural enjoyment, offers a weekend packed with activities ranging from theater and music to circus, cinema, games, and creative workshops. Taking advantage of the good weather, the proposals will take place outdoors, inviting participants to a morning of learning, exploration, and experimentation.
Among the highlighted activities is Chaos Lab, by the company La Cresta, an installation that merges improvisation and sound art. Chico-Trópico's caravan, with its mobile studio La C.O.S.A. (Organized Ambulant Sound Center), will allow for the creation of collective songs, where each family can contribute instruments, voices, and lyrics. Additionally, tocajugarMADERA will offer traditional wooden games in large format, promoting an intergenerational and sustainable initiative.
The company Toti Toronell will present MICROSHAKESPEARE, an interactive object theater experience based on a work by Shakespeare. Meanwhile, Alauda Teatro, specializing in puppets, will install Ingenii Machina, an open proposal for manipulating automatons and mechanisms that explain the principles of classical mechanics.
With a focus on sustainability, the project Caravana: costura comunitaria will conduct a textile recycling workshop. For the curious, in collaboration with the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid Foundation (FUAM), a family astronomy observation will be offered, a playful and educational opportunity to approach the world of astronomy. The Circus School, by the Circo Diverso Association, will teach the basics of juggling, and La Mirilla will present the Body Marbling technique, transforming the body into a colorful work of art.
Artist Inge Nows will invite attendees on a Dreamed Journey, combining a free-play installation with a creative workshop. The educational project Criaturas Infinitas will propose the Soft Architectures game workshop, which promotes critical thinking through design. Finally, Cuentos Danzantes will present Arborecer, an activity that transforms storytelling into movement to bring dance and nature closer to children, families, and the educational community, and Adrián Conde's La petite caravane will offer a theater on wheels with a unique performance. PUCK Cinema will screen author animation short films in the world's smallest cinema caravan.
