The National Police in Madrid has arrested ten members of the Dominicans Don't Play (DDP) Latin gang, including three minors, for their alleged involvement in serious crimes following an ambush on the rival Trinitarios gang in March 2025.

The arrests are the result of a thorough investigation into a violent attack that occurred in the Carabanchel district. This incident, described as a 'vuelta' or retaliation, took place in an area under the influence of the so-called '4 Chorros Chapter' of the DDP, where several Trinitarios members were gathered in a residence.
Police investigations indicate that, upon learning of their rivals' presence, the DDP organized an ambush, hiding in a nearby doorway. When the Trinitarios went out into the street, they were surprised by a "brutal assault" in public. During the confrontation, some young people tried to flee from the attackers, who were carrying machetes.
The situation escalated when one of the DDP members fired three shots at close range at a 19-year-old, wounding him in the neck and glute. The investigation led to the identification and arrest of three of the involved individuals, all minors, weeks after the events, in early July 2025. They were placed at the disposal of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, which ordered their admission to a closed-regime center.
After several months of inquiries, agents located the remaining individuals and proceeded with their arrest in mid-February. In this second phase, six males and one female were arrested; the woman is attributed a "primary" role in covering up and providing logistical support to the material perpetrators. During the operation, four home searches were carried out, seizing clothing used on the day of the events and computer equipment for analysis.
Of the seven arrested in this last phase, four were remanded in provisional prison by judicial order. Additionally, two of those arrested were already in pre-trial detention for their alleged involvement in similar incidents that occurred in January 2025.
