The public broadcaster Telemadrid has solidified bullfighting as a strategic pillar of its programming, achieving an 11% audience share during the current edition of the San Isidro Fair.

The management of Radio Televisión Madrid confirmed before the Madrid Assembly its intention to expand bullfighting coverage, exceeding fifty broadcasts throughout 2026. This upward trend has been consolidated in recent years, rising from 33 broadcasts in 2023 to 46 in 2025.
The impact of these broadcasts extends beyond the capital, providing visibility to various municipalities in the Community of Madrid. Towns such as San Agustín del Guadalix, Miraflores de la Sierra, Algete, Colmenar de Oreja, and Valdemoro have been part of this deployment, with Daganzo, Moralzarzal, and Villarejo de Salvanés set to join soon.

"Bullfighting has become strategic content for Radio Televisión Madrid, not only due to the broadcast of various events and the great reception it receives year after year from viewers, but also because it is present transversally in other programs."

the station's management
Audience data supports this strategy. As of June 7, the San Isidro Fair recorded an average of 110,000 viewers per event, with a cumulative reach covering 23% of the Madrid population. Furthermore, the broadcaster's new OTT platform has bolstered this success, accumulating 2 million viewers since its launch in May, with bullfighting content accounting for 43.1% of total views.
The offering is complemented by original productions such as the series Huella Taurina and the documentary Madrid Cantera Taurina, which explore the history and future of the region's bullfighting schools.
