The Community of Madrid, through Teatros del Canal, has organized a free nocturnal cultural initiative titled 'No la debemos dormir' (We Must Not Sleep). The performing arts center will remain open between midnight and 5:00 AM on Sunday, June 7th, providing a meeting space for young pilgrims.
The uninterrupted program will feature live music and dance performances, reflecting the artistic diversity of the current scene. This measure aims to provide cultural and social spaces during the early morning hours, complementing the scheduled religious events.
Among the featured artists is Clara Montes, presenting 'Marinera en tierra. Clara Montes canta a Rafael Alberti'. Alfonso Acosta, guitarist for Jenny and the Mexicats, will also perform, blending rock, flamenco, and indie-folk with guest musicians. The Spanish Ballet of the Community of Madrid will showcase its work, and various DJ sets will provide electronic music.
Pilgrims who verify their participation with the corresponding card will receive a 20% discount on tickets for shows scheduled at Teatros del Canal between June 6th and 9th.
This discount promotion applies to titles such as 'La dama boba', directed by Josep Maria Mestres; 'Los Estunmen', by Nao Albet and Marcel Borràs with music by Fernando Velázquez; and 'SACRESIZE', a contemporary dance piece by Alberto Velasco.
The full program and access times will be available on the official channels of Teatros del Canal.
