The 112 emergency service of the Community of Madrid managed a total of 165 incidents between 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Thursday, due to the storm that affected various areas of the region. Most of these alerts were recorded in the southern and eastern zones, in addition to the city of Madrid, where isolated hail episodes were reported.
The Community of Madrid Firefighters carried out 33 interventions, primarily related to the effects of rain and wind. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) deactivated the orange alert in the Metropolitan and Henares areas at 7:00 PM, although it maintained the yellow alert for rain and storms throughout the region until 9:00 PM on Thursday.
The Community of Madrid has maintained the Pre-emergency level of the Special Civil Protection Plan against the Risk of Floods (INUNCAM) activated since Thursday afternoon, as a preventive measure due to the meteorological situation.
