The match, part of the 2027 World Cup qualifying stage, was confirmed by the Spanish Basketball Federation. This event is part of a collaboration agreement with the Madrid City Council to host major sporting events in the city leading up to 2029.
The national team aims to maintain its unbeaten record and secure the top spot in the group. Spain previously defeated the Danish side during their first encounter in Copenhagen.
Following the match in the capital, the team will travel to Tbilisi to play against Georgia on July 5th, concluding the first phase of the tournament. The competition will resume in August for the second round, featuring opponents from a group including Greece, Portugal, Montenegro, and Romania.
