The exhibition 'Centenaries of the Great Flights of Spanish Aviation' at Madrid's Real Casa de Correos has welcomed over 8,000 visitors since its opening on April 9, highlighting historical milestones in national aviation.

The exhibition, located at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Community of Madrid, has been a resounding public success, attracting over 8,000 people since its inauguration on April 9. The display, which reviews the great achievements of Spanish aviation, will remain open to the public free of charge until April 24.
Recently, the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, visited the exhibition accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Air and Space Army, Francisco Braco. This visit underscores the relevance of the Spanish aerial feats commemorated in the exhibition.
Among the protagonists of the exhibition is the Plus Ultra, an aircraft that in 2026 will celebrate one hundred years since its historic journey. This aircraft was the first to cross the South Atlantic from Spain to South America in a single flight, marking a milestone in the history of global aviation.
The exhibition also dedicates significant space to other crucial events of 1926, such as the flight of the Elcano Squadron between Madrid and Manila, and the pioneering work of the Atlantis Patrol in opening air routes to Guinea. These events were fundamental for the development of communications and Spain's international projection during the 20th century.
