The Madrid City Council has announced the suspension of the Regulated Parking Service (SER) in the Justicia neighborhood (Chueca) between July 1st and 4th, coinciding with the Pride Festival (MADO 2026).

The measure, affecting all users including residents with valid permits, aims to ensure the safety of the thousands of attendees at the festivities. The affected perimeter includes streets such as Hortaleza, Fernando VI, Bárbara de Braganza, Paseo de Recoletos, Alcalá, and Gran Vía.
Residents of the Justicia neighborhood with SER authorization will be able to park in green and blue spaces in any other district of the city during the suspension period.
According to the City Council, this decision is based on the Sustainable Mobility Ordinance, which allows the council to suspend the SER for safety reasons or the protection of public spaces. The elimination of traffic associated with parking is considered key to the safety of attendees at the LGTBIQ+ Pride celebrations.
Madrid's LGTBIQ+ Pride Festival runs from June 25th to July 5th, with the main demonstration scheduled for July 4th. The City Council has developed a specific mobility plan that includes traffic closures and public transport reinforcements to facilitate the events.
