This initiative, supported by Estrella Galicia through its music platform SON Estrella Galicia, strengthens the venue's dedication to artistic development and connecting with new generations of audiences. Over five consecutive days, the Galileo stage will welcome bands from various regions of the country, including Madrid, Mallorca, the Canary Islands, and the Basque Country.
The contest format combines evaluation by a professional jury with public voting, allowing attendees to support their favorite acts. The primary goal is to identify and promote new musical groups, providing them with a professional platform for exposure and artistic growth.
“"To detect and give visibility to new emerging bands, offering a professional platform for exhibition and artistic growth."
Participating musical projects include Estanco72, Mamuak, Las Edades Difíciles, Ajoke, Carmen Supermarket, Muerto Rafa, Nenazas, Ático 11, Kimera, Gorila Flo, Los Ibus, Edgar Allan Pop, and Remedios Caseros. Each day will feature several live performances, with each band having 20 minutes to present their musical proposal.
The prizes for this edition are designed to have a significant impact on the artists' careers. The first prize is a headline performance at Sala Galileo Galilei. The second prize offers participation in the Monkey Week festival, and the third prize provides the opportunity to open for one of the venue's concerts. In addition to these accolades, winners will gain visibility, promotion, and direct contact with music industry professionals, establishing the contest as a valuable opportunity for artistic development.
