Renfe, in collaboration with Turismo de Castilla-La Mancha, is launching the 'Quijote Train' on May 30th, a special journey from Madrid Chamartín to Alcázar de San Juan to immerse travelers in Quijote-themed culture.

The itinerary will depart from Madrid Chamartín-Clara Campoamor station at 9:24 AM, with a stop at Madrid Atocha Cercanías at 9:41 AM. Arrival in Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real) is scheduled for 11:13 AM. The return journey will commence at 7:26 PM from Alcázar, arriving at Madrid Chamartín at 9:15 PM, following a stop at Atocha Cercanías at 8:58 PM.
Tickets are priced at 50 euros for adults and 20 euros for children under 14. Children under 4 who do not require a seat can travel for free, obtaining a complimentary ticket, with a maximum of one child per paying adult.
The experience includes a guided tour of emblematic sites such as the Antigua Fonda de la Estación, the Palatial Complex of the Gran Prior, the Casa del Hidalgo Museum, and the iconic Windmills. Additionally, participants will enjoy a visit and tasting at a local winery.
This initiative aims to promote the use of Renfe services and highlight the tourist attractions of Alcázar de San Juan, particularly its windmills that inspired Miguel de Cervantes. The project is part of Renfe's collaboration with the cultural sector to foster sustainable tourism and family leisure.
