The Madrid City Council has opened the registration period for the sixth edition of the Margarita Salas Awards, which aim to recognize the best doctoral theses defended in universities across the region, with a total endowment of 129,000 euros.

These awards, which honor the figure of biochemist Margarita Salas, an international reference in molecular biology, continue the initiative to promote research that began in 2021. The main purpose is to facilitate the transfer of knowledge generated in the university environment to the labor market and society in general.

"From Madrid, we want to be allies, facilitating the transfer of knowledge generated in laboratories and doctoral theses to the labor market."
