Konaté, who came through the youth academies of Paris FC and FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, made his professional debut in 2017 and moved to Europe with RB Leipzig.
His upward trajectory led him to Liverpool in 2021, where he established himself as a regular defender alongside Virgil van Dijk. During his time at Anfield, he played over 180 matches and won several titles, including a Premier League and an FA Cup.
Konaté's signing aims to strengthen a defense hampered by injuries, such as those of Éder Militao and David Alaba. The French center-back will compete for a spot with Antonio Rüdiger, Dean Huijsen, and Raúl Asencio.
