The measure, announced on Thursday, April 23, 2026, reverses the closed-door policy that had been in place for months for Israeli teams in Spain due to protests related to the conflict in Gaza. The games are scheduled for next Wednesday and Friday.
According to the latest reports, there has been a reduction in the risk level, which facilitated the decision to allow public attendance. Nevertheless, stringent measures will be implemented to ensure the safety of all attendees at the sporting event.
“"The Real Madrid-Hapoel Tel Aviv Euroleague match will be played with pre-identified spectators in the stands. There will be no ticket sales or presence of visiting fans at the Movistar Arena."
Security provisions include mandatory prior identification of attendees, and the first rows of the pavilion will remain empty. Access will be restricted to season ticket holders presenting their DNI (national identification document), as well as those with transferred season tickets, provided they show both their DNI and the transfer document from the original owner.
Furthermore, tickets will not be sold to visiting team fans, and entry controls will be reinforced. Fan activities will be strictly limited to sports-related elements, and a security detail comprising 450 police officers will be deployed, supplemented by private security personnel.
This news is particularly positive for Real Madrid, which has demonstrated an exceptional home performance this Euroleague season, boasting a record of 18 victories and only one defeat on their home court.
