The Pope's arrival in Spain is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, at 10:30 AM at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas International Airport. He will be received by Their Majesties the King and Queen and other authorities. Afterwards, he will proceed to the Royal Palace for an institutional welcome reception with representatives from various institutions, civil society, and the diplomatic corps.
Following the events at the Royal Palace, Leo XIV will tour parts of the capital in the popemobile, with an itinerary that includes Plaza de España, Calle de la Princesa, El Corte Inglés de Princesa, the Bulevares de Madrid, and Plaza de Colón, before heading to the Apostolic Nunciature.
That same afternoon, at 6:00 PM, the Pope will visit the social project CEDIA 24 Horas de Cáritas in the Latina district, a center for the homeless. The visit will conclude with a performance by Niña Pastori.
Saturday, June 6, will culminate with a prayer vigil for young people in Plaza de Lima, near the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. The Pope's preceding tour along Paseo de la Castellana will begin at 8:30 PM. The vigil, which combines music, testimonies, and Eucharistic adoration, is envisioned as a festival of faith featuring artists such as Siloé, Beret, Mr. Rain, Inazio, Hey Kid, and Lola Tuduri, alongside other Catholic music singers.
During the vigil, three listening points staffed by trained personnel will be available, in line with the diocesan initiative promoted by Cardinal José Cobo. The night will also include the 'White and Yellow Night' with various cultural and prayer initiatives across the city.
