The Community of Madrid, in collaboration with the Parkinson Madrid Association, has organized a training course on "Tools for Direct Care of People with Parkinson's".

The course, to be held on October 20 and 21, 2026, is aimed at professionals in socio-health centers working with individuals affected by this neurological pathology. The objective is to equip them with theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the comprehensive management of the disease.
The training will take place at the Centro Alzheimer Fundación Reina Sofía, located at C. de Valderrebollo, 5, in the Villa de Vallecas district. Registration will be open from July 29 at 12:00 PM to October 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM. A minimum of 15 in-person and 10 online participants are required for the course to proceed.
The program will cover aspects such as symptom identification, nursing care, occupational therapy, communication, dysphagia prevention, and the emotional impact on caregivers. The teaching team will consist of a social worker, a general health psychologist, a specialized nurse, an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist, and a speech therapist.
The methodology will be participatory and practical, combining theoretical exposition, demonstrations, and direct interaction with experts. Presentations will be sent via email in PDF format to attendees. The training is intended for both professionals and family members, who should register according to their role.
