The new and ambitious recreational area in Paracuellos de Jarama, Cornisas Park, will incorporate an imposing, large-scale dinosaur figure. This attraction, designed for children, aims to become a landmark for families in the municipality and was recently showcased at TECMA, the leading international fair for urban planning and public amenities.
Kompan, the company awarded the contract for the children's facilities, displayed part of the structure at its stand. The dinosaur will measure 12.5 meters in length and nearly seven meters in width. It will include various play elements, such as membranes, nets, and rings, allowing children aged five and up to climb, balance, and plan movements inside, culminating in a slide located at the tail.
Mayor Jesús Muñoz highlighted that Cornisas Park is one of the legislature's most ambitious projects. The complex will also feature an outdoor fitness zone, a 3x3 basketball court, and a viewpoint overlooking the Balcón de Madrid.
The total investment for the children's play area, fitness zone, and multi-sport court amounts to 1,106,000 euros plus VAT, awarded to Juegos Kompan. Funding is provided by the Regional Investment Program (PIR) 2022-2026 from the Comunidad de Madrid.
The future park, to be located next to Avenida Sombra de la Torre, will cover approximately 114,900 square meters. The design includes themed play areas, meeting spaces, a lake, sports facilities, and green zones.
