This sporting event, covering categories from seven to nineteen years old for male, female, and inclusive teams, will utilize local facilities for 53 matches in both seven-a-side and eleven-a-side football. Although the main venue is in Alcalá de Henares, Paracuellos de Jarama is solidifying its role as a key municipality in this sixth edition of the championship.
The MADCUP boasts strong institutional and sporting backing, including support from the Community of Madrid, UN Tourism, the Atlético de Madrid Academy, and the Royal Football Federation of Madrid. This endorsement positions it as a benchmark in the European youth football calendar.
The previous edition of the tournament involved 845 teams, with 238 being international, representing 41 different countries. This high foreign participation underscores the event's multicultural nature, fostering encounters between diverse cultures through football and generating a significant impact on host municipalities.
The competition is structured with an initial group stage followed by knockout rounds. Teams compete across three tiers: MADCUP Gold, MADCUP Silver, and MADCUP Bronze, ensuring all participants continue playing until the tournament's conclusion, regardless of their initial ranking.
