Over 280,000 students from 4th and 6th grade Primary, along with those from 2nd and 4th grade ESO, are participating in Madrid in two days of evaluations to measure their proficiency in fundamental areas such as language, mathematics, and other key competencies.

The tests, spanning two days, commenced this Tuesday in the Community of Madrid. This assessment system, which includes all public, subsidized, and private educational centers in the region, is being implemented for the third consecutive year.
The focus of these evaluations is on essential key competencies. These include linguistic communication, foreign language proficiency, mathematics, and the fields of science, technology, and engineering. Additionally, students' personal and social skills are assessed.
Specifically, for Primary students, the subjects evaluated are Spanish Language and Literature, English, Mathematics, and Social Sciences. At the Secondary level, the tests cover Spanish Language and Literature, English, Mathematics, and Geography and History.
The primary objective of these assessments is to enable each educational center to thoroughly analyze the results obtained by its students. Based on this analysis, they can design and implement pedagogical reinforcement measures that precisely adapt to the identified needs of the student body. The Educational Inspectorate, the Territorial Area Directorates, and the General Directorate of Bilingualism and Quality of Education will oversee the entire process.
