Madrid Metro will implement an operational reinforcement starting this Monday to facilitate the travel of the 42,047 students summoned for the University Entrance Exam (PAU) at the region's six public universities.

The special deployment will focus on stations with access to university campuses and will concentrate on peak demand hours, identifying three critical periods: from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, and 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Metro will call for trains in advance to ensure students' punctuality.
The increase in circulation will begin between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM to ensure students arrive on time for their exams. In the afternoon, after the tests conclude, train frequency will be increased by up to 23% between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to manage the mass departure of passengers.
The Community of Madrid will also reinforce station and security personnel to manage passenger flows, improve user service, and ensure agile travel during the four days of the PAU.
The Complutense University of Madrid has the largest number of students, with 13,424 candidates, followed by the Autonomous University (10,341), Carlos III University (6,348), University of Alcalá (5,595), Rey Juan Carlos University (4,510), and Polytechnic University (1,829).
Lines 6 and 12 of the Metro will be most affected by this reinforcement. On Line 6, special attention will be given to stations such as Ciudad Universitaria, Cuatro Caminos, Guzmán el Bueno, Príncipe Pío, Argüelles, and Moncloa. On Line 12 (MetroSur), the reinforcement will focus on Hospital de Fuenlabrada, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Getafe Central, and Leganés Central, in addition to key interchange stations.
