Line 4 of the Madrid Metro resumed normal operations this Wednesday, May 20, following a technical disruption that halted service for approximately two hours.

The incident began at 6:36 PM, leading to the suspension of rail traffic between the Alonso Martínez and Argüelles stations. The technical fault impacted four major stops: Alonso Martínez, San Bernardo, Bilbao, and Argüelles.
Although Metro de Madrid initially estimated a quick resolution, repair efforts extended throughout the afternoon, causing significant travel delays for thousands of passengers during the evening rush hour.
Technical teams successfully resolved the issue, and service was officially restored at 8:23 PM. Since then, trains have been gradually returning to their regular schedules across the entire line.
