Las Rozas Local Police Awards IFISE of the Community of Madrid with Medal of Honor

The Local Police of Las Rozas has honored the Institute for Integral Training in Security and Emergencies during an institutional ceremony for Saint John the Baptist.

The Local Police of Las Rozas has awarded its Medal of Honor to the Institute for Integral Training in Security and Emergencies (IFISE) of the Community of Madrid. The recognition was presented during an institutional ceremony held at the Auditorio Joaquín Rodrigo to mark the feast day of Saint John the Baptist, the force's patron.

The distinction, the highest decoration of the municipal police force, was received by the Director General of Security of the Community of Madrid, Luis Miguel González Morato, and the Deputy Director General of IFISE, Rosa Menchén. The City Council of Las Rozas explained that this medal honors collaborations and support for police work.
During the ceremony, the mayor of Las Rozas, José de la Uz, highlighted the proximity of the Local Police to citizens, stating: "If anything characterizes the Local Police of Las Rozas, it is closeness."
The Council also recognized collaborating professionals and entities, including heads of municipal services, technical staff, and experts from the educational, health, and private security sectors. Additionally, the Cross of Professional Merit was awarded to a sub-inspector and seven local officers, and civil guards were honored for their years of service in the municipality.
The event concluded with commendations for 22 commanders and officers for outstanding interventions and a special recognition for 'Nala', a member of the Local Police's Canine Unit, on the occasion of her upcoming retirement.
