This Saturday, Martín reproached the Popular Party for their "reluctant" acknowledgment that Madrid is a safe city. At the same time, he requested the party's leaders to collaborate with his department under the principles of "coordination, collaboration, and loyalty".
These statements come after councilor Jorge Rodrigo and deputy mayor Inma Sanz accused Martín of "never taking care of his responsibilities" regarding security. Both asked him to "stay put" and "not bother" if he was not going to work for the safety of Madrid residents.
“"It is regrettable that the PP is bothered by Madrid registering the lowest crime rate in its history."
The Government Delegate emphasized that these results reflect the "commitment of the Government of Spain" and President Pedro Sánchez to public safety. He assured that the central Executive would continue to work "with the same commitment" to improve this area.
In conclusion, Martín called on the Popular Party to "rise to the occasion," reiterating the importance of "coordination, collaboration, and loyalty" in the Community of Madrid.
