Kostyuk started the match with great determination, adopting an aggressive playing style that allowed her to secure an early break and establish a clear lead in the first set. Despite the Russian's attempts to react, the Ukrainian remained calm, saved two break points, and closed out the first set 6-3.
The second set began with an exchange of breaks, and Andreeva managed to pull ahead, suggesting a potential extension of the match.
