The president underscored her government's commitment to Madrid's healthcare, reflected in the largest historical budget, allocating nearly 3 billion euros to Primary Care. Furthermore, she announced that this legislature would be dedicated to healthcare infrastructure, with the planned inauguration of 34 new health centers.
In response to the demands of professionals, Díaz Ayuso detailed improvements in remuneration and working conditions, aiming to facilitate work-life balance and allow more time per patient. Economic supplements for evening shifts, rotations, and work in rural areas will also be implemented.
The Community of Madrid is making an unprecedented investment in digitalization and Artificial Intelligence for the healthcare sector, with the goal of optimizing professionals' daily work and improving patients' quality of life. The Virtual Health Card, with nearly four million users, is an example of this transformation, and new programs for heart care and women's health are expected.
