Madrid firefighters have evacuated the Moeve Tower, part of the Four Towers complex in the north of the capital, after an internal explosion caused a fire on the 25th floor.

The incident occurred around 5:05 PM when the first alert was received about a fire on the 16th floor, prompting a full evacuation of the tower. The fire was located in a technical room in the upper half of the building.
Madrid Fire Department crews responded swiftly, brought the flames under control, and are continuing efforts to extinguish the fire. The Government Delegate in Madrid, Francisco Martín, has closely monitored the situation, stating that emergency teams are working to minimize damage.
As a result of the incident, Samur-Civil Protection provided medical attention to two workers for mild smoke inhalation. Additionally, a passerby received treatment for anxiety, according to Emergencies Madrid.
The National Police has launched an investigation to determine the causes of the explosion. The area has been cordoned off by UIP units, and a Cóndor helicopter is surveying the scene.
This marks the second significant incident affecting the Moeve Tower, recalling a similar event in 2025 that also necessitated its evacuation and a power outage.
