During a meeting with business leaders in Mexico, the regional president highlighted the strong economic performance of the Community of Madrid. She emphasized that the region's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is once again above the national average, showing substantial growth.

It was noted that in the 1980s, the Community of Madrid ranked fourth among Spanish regions, whereas it now contributes the most to the country's economy, accounting for nearly 20% of the national economy.
According to data from the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF), the year-on-year growth of 3.1% in the first quarter of 2026 exceeds the Spanish average by four tenths. Quarterly, the region grew by 0.8% at the start of the year, leading other autonomous communities in this regard.
These results, according to the regional government, reflect one of the best historical moments for the region, with progress evident across various economic sectors. The president participated in an informational meeting organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, attended by a hundred business owners and investors.
