The Community of Madrid has launched the Extraordinary Baccalaureate Awards, each offering 2,000 euros to students with a minimum grade of 8.75.

The Community of Madrid has initiated the application process for this academic year's Extraordinary Baccalaureate Awards, designed to acknowledge the merit, effort, and capability of students who have achieved the highest results in this educational stage.
The deadline for submitting applications is May 27. Students who have completed any Baccalaureate modality in Madrid's educational centers with a grade of 8.75 or higher are eligible to apply for these accolades.
The Regional Ministry of Education, Science, and Universities will present a total of 25 awards, each carrying a 2,000 euro prize, as part of an initiative to celebrate the academic performance of Madrid's students.
The selection process will involve several exercises. Candidates must first develop topics related to Spanish Language and Literature II and either History of Spain or Philosophy. Subsequently, they will answer questions on cultural, literary, or grammatical matters based on a written text and complete an oral comprehension test in their chosen foreign language.
The procedure will conclude with a specific exercise tied to the mandatory modality each participant has studied. Concurrently, applications for the Extraordinary Primary Education Awards remain open, now in its second edition, with a submission deadline of May 28.
The Ministry of Education also annually grants awards for Compulsory Secondary Education, Higher Vocational Training, and Professional Artistic Studies. This year, the program expands to include awards for Basic and Intermediate Vocational Training, being convened for the first time, thereby enhancing the recognition of Madrid students' hard work across various educational levels.
