The Community of Madrid has announced the construction of over 300 housing units designed for seniors with mild to moderate dependency, aiming to foster their autonomy and quality of life.

These new residences will be integrated into at least five of the plots designated for the Regional Government's 40-40 Plan, which envisions the creation of 80 new residences and day centers. The announcement was made by the regional president during her visit to the Amavir Valdebernardo Residence in Madrid.
The project seeks to offer innovative residential formulas that guarantee residents' privacy and autonomy while providing necessary assistance. Users will have access to services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and home care.
All homes will be equipped with home automation technology, including Wi-Fi, fall prevention security systems, smoke and fire alarms, and the latest advancements in advanced telecare. Each unit will feature a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and adapted bathroom.
Additionally, common areas will be available to promote coexistence and interpersonal relationships, such as a gym, dining room, leisure activity workshops, and outdoor spaces. Residents will also be able to use the facilities and services of nearby residential or day centers.
