The 2026/27 school year in the Community of Madrid will begin on September 7 for students in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Special Education, and Integrated Centers for Artistic Education in Music and Primary. One day later, on September 8, students in Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), Baccalaureate, Vocational Programs, Vocational Training, and Professional Conservatories of Music and Dance, as well as Schools and Integrated Centers for Artistic Education in Music and ESO, and Official Language Schools will return to classrooms.
Higher Artistic Education will commence on September 9, while Adult Education Centers and the first year of Plastic Arts and Design cycles in Art Schools will start on September 21.
The Christmas holidays are scheduled from December 23 to January 10. The non-teaching period for Easter will extend from March 19 to March 29. Additionally, October 12, November 2, and December 7 and 8 have been designated as general holidays. February 12 and 15 will also be non-teaching days.
The academic year will conclude on June 18 for most educational levels, including the second cycle of Early Childhood, Primary Education, Special Education, ESO, Vocational Training, and Artistic Education in Music, Professional Conservatories of Music and Dance, Official Language Schools, Art Schools, and Adult Education Centers. 2nd year Baccalaureate students will have dates adjusted according to the University Entrance Exam (PAU) and admission procedures.
Finally, classes in Nursery Schools and Children's Houses will end on July 31.
