Organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer, the event will start at 09:00 AM on Paseo de la Castellana and conclude at Paseo de Recoletos, near Plaza de Colón. Two routes are available: a main 10-kilometer course for runners and a 4.5-kilometer option for those who prefer to run or walk.
Traffic disruptions are anticipated to begin early in the morning and last until approximately 1:30 PM. Key affected roads include Paseo de la Castellana, Plaza de Castilla, Plaza de Cuzco, Plaza del Doctor Marañón, Glorieta de Emilio Castelar, Plaza de Colón, and Paseo de Recoletos. Restrictions will be implemented in sections, progressing as the race advances.
More than twenty EMT bus lines, including 5, 7, 14, 27, 45, 53, 150, and several night routes, will alter their usual itineraries. The districts of Salamanca, Chamartín, Tetuán, and Chamberí will experience the most significant impact from these changes.
“"The City Council has deployed a special operation with Municipal Police and Mobility Agents to ensure safety."
The City Council strongly recommends using public transport. Metro stations such as Colón, Alonso Martínez, and Banco de España are close to the affected area, as is the Cercanías train station at Recoletos. Private vehicle drivers are advised to use the M-30 and M-40 as alternative routes.
The primary goal of this initiative is to raise funds for cancer research and treatment, as well as to highlight the needs of patients and their families. The event combines sports with solidarity, establishing itself as a key fixture in the capital's calendar.
