The May 2nd Festivities are the epicenter of the celebration, with a diverse musical program that includes free concerts at the Puente del Rey esplanade. Artists such as Berkana, Los Seminuevos, Lobos Negros, Bely Basarte, Judeline, joseluis, and Alcalá Norte will perform at this emblematic location. Additionally, Móstoles joins the festivities with an extensive musical program, highlighting the Platinum Urban Fest and performances by Isabel Aaiún, La Pegatina, and David Otero.
Electronic music will also have its space with the elrow Town Madrid festival at the Torrejón de Ardoz fairgrounds, featuring over 70 artists across eight themed stages. International Jazz Day is celebrated with a series of 18 concerts in various venues across the capital, while singer Patricia Kraus will present her new EP at the Babylon Club Madrid. A unique cinematic and musical proposal will be the screening of Blade Runner at the Palacio Municipal de Ifema Madrid, with the soundtrack performed live by The Avex Ensemble.
The theater billboard is refreshed with notable plays. Una noche sin luna, starring Juan Diego Botto and directed by Sergio Peris-Mencheta, returns to the Teatro Español to explore the figure of Federico García Lorca. At the Teatro Bellas Artes, El hijo de la cómica pays tribute to Fernando Fernán Gómez with José Sacristán. The Gran Teatro Pavón hosts Yo solo quiero irme a Francia, by Elisabeth Larena, featuring María Galiana, and the Teatro Valle-Inclán presents Tinieblas, by Edurne Rubio. The Teatros del Canal will offer a contemporary reinterpretation of Euripides' Medea, and the Teatro Circo Price presents a circus adaptation of Cinderella. Finally, the Teatro de La Abadía revives Travy, a tribute to the Pla-Solina theatrical family.
Exhibitions also enrich the cultural offerings. The Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM) inaugurates Lo que nace by Matías Costa, part of PHotoESPAÑA 2026, and Hispania Nostra. 50 años comprometidos con el patrimonio. Banca March celebrates its centenary with the first exhibition in Spain by British sculptor Thomas Houseago. The National Museum of Decorative Arts presents Las ingenieras domésticas y la revolución de la cocina, and the Reina Sofía Museum dedicates an exhibition to textile artist Aurèlia Muñoz. The Conde Duque Cultural Center hosts Nombrar el mundo, by Argentine artist Mariela Scafati.
In addition to music, the Community of Madrid Festivities include the night show Madrid en el cielo, with 1,000 drones illuminating the sky in the Cuña Verde de Latina park. Historical reenactments of the 1808 uprising will take place in the Puerta del Sol and Puente del Rey, as well as in Móstoles and Torrejón de Ardoz. The El Álamo Medieval Fair celebrates its 29th edition with shows and a market, and the 48th Antique and Second-Hand Book Fair is set up in the Paseo de Recoletos. The Fiestas del Prado in Pinto offer a family-friendly program, and the Community of Madrid Fair at Las Ventas provides opportunities for bullfighting enthusiasts. Finally, the Madrid a cielo abierto initiative transforms hotels into leisure spaces with gastronomic and cultural proposals.
