The Madrid City Council has announced the opening of the application period for the Cambia 360 Grants, a program with a budget of 23.3 million euros aimed at promoting sustainable mobility and energy efficiency in the capital.

Starting this Wednesday, interested parties can submit their applications to access the Cambia 360 Grants, an initiative by the Madrid City Council focused on the acquisition of urban goods distribution (UGD) vehicles and micromobility. The application period will run until September 15, as reported by the Consistory.
The program maintains its seven lines of subsidies in this call, with an initial budget of 23.3 million euros, aimed at fostering sustainable mobility, improving energy efficiency, and reducing polluting emissions in the capital. These grants, promoted since 2020 by the Urban Planning, Environment and Mobility Area, led by Borja Carabante, cover various actions, including the installation of electric charging infrastructures and the scrapping of buses. For all calls this year, 9.7 million euros have been initially reserved, expandable up to 23.3 million.
In the urban goods distribution segment, 1.15 million euros have been allocated, with subsidies that can reach up to 14,000 euros per applicant. For N1 category vehicles, 11,000 euros are granted for ZERO emission vehicles, 7,000 euros for ECO vehicles, and 5,000 euros for C classification vehicles. Additionally, scrapping vehicles with an A or B label allows for an extra incentive of 3,000 euros, which is mandatory when acquiring C classification vehicles.
For N2 category UGD vehicles, grants reach 12,000 euros for ZERO models, 8,000 euros for ECO, and 6,000 euros for C label vehicles, maintaining the same scrapping conditions. For the second consecutive year, subsidies are also included for commercial vehicles with electric refrigeration systems for temperature-sensitive goods transport.
In the micromobility sector, the City Council has allocated a budget of up to 300,000 euros, with grants that can reach 2,000 euros per vehicle, covering up to 50 percent of its cost. Specifically, subsidies of up to 400 euros are established for electric bicycles, 600 euros for L1e B electric mopeds, and up to 1,000 euros for L3e, L4e, and L5e category electric motorcycles. It is worth noting that funding for light and heavy electric quadricycles has been eliminated this year due to the absence of applications in previous calls.
Since their launch in 2020, the Consistory has invested 140.8 million euros in these grants, consolidating them as a key tool for the transition towards a more sustainable mobility model. This program has also contributed to Madrid complying with the European air quality directive for the fourth consecutive year and continuing to reduce nitrogen dioxide levels in 2026.
