Fifteen museums and cultural spaces in Madrid will open their doors for free on the night of Saturday, June 6, to Sunday, June 7, coinciding with the Pope's visit to Spain.

The Royal Collections Gallery will join this initiative, offering free access from 8:00 PM on Saturday until 1:00 AM on Sunday. This special opening is part of 'La Noche en Blanco (y Amarillo)' (The White (and Yellow) Night), an event bringing together 15 Madrid cultural entities to democratize access to artistic and cultural heritage on an exceptional night marked by the Pontiff's presence.
The 'Noche en Blanco' initiative, born in Paris in 2002 and adopted by Madrid in 2006, aims to bring culture closer to citizens and visitors. Other Spanish cities such as Burgos, Málaga, Albacete, Barcelona, Bilbao, and La Laguna have successfully replicated this model.
Among the major national museums participating are the Prado Museum, the National Museum Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, and the Naval Museum, which will keep their collections accessible throughout the night.
The cultural offering is expanded with the collaboration of important private institutions and foundations such as the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, CaixaForum, the Telefónica Foundation Space, and the MAPFRE Foundation. Local museums like the Museum of the History of Madrid, the Temple of Debod, and the Museum of San Isidro are also joining the celebration.
Other relevant spaces such as the Teatros del Canal, the Banca March Garden, and the Reina Sofía Higher School of Music complete the program, extending the night dedicated to culture throughout the city. This initiative represents a unique opportunity to enjoy Madrid's cultural heritage for free.
