During the opening of the II District Conferences of the PP of Madrid, the municipal leader emphasized his party's "arduous and complicated" task, considering it a responsibility that extends beyond the city's borders. He stressed that the message from Madrid is that citizens "do not have to resign themselves" to the current political landscape.
The Mayor defended the Popular Party as an option capable of governing "for all districts," refuting accusations of territorial inequality. He called on residents of the southern and eastern districts not to be "deceived" by other parties who, according to him, only seek their vote "every four years."
“"Our responsibility is to tell Spaniards from Madrid that they do not have to resign themselves."
He also strongly criticized the left, accusing it of fostering "hatred, tension, and confrontation" due to a lack of a clear political project. He assured that the PP will demonstrate that "the flag of the people" is not the exclusive property of the left, but a value that his party also represents.
Regarding internal strategy, the Mayor urged focusing on daily work, without taking the 2027 election results for granted. He warned about the importance of current efforts to ensure future victory. Regarding the opposition, he identified the left as the main adversary, while also mentioning competition with VOX, stating that the PP will overcome them.
Finally, he directed specific criticisms at the socialist spokesperson in the City Council, whom he accused of "lying" and lacking "legitimacy" to represent the people of Madrid. He also reproached Más Madrid for its strategy, which he described as a "campaign of hatred."
