The Madrid City Council has launched a consultation inviting young people aged 14 to 18 to design the image of the virtual assistant for its new youth participation platform, Decide Madrid JOVEN.

This initiative, titled ‘Giving life to our virtual assistant,’ aims to engage youth in the development of the digital tool. Starting May 11, participants can submit their ideas and sketches, which will then be put to a vote to select the final design.
The process is structured in several phases. The first phase, running until June 30, is for proposal submission. During July, a technical validation of the designs will be carried out. Finally, between July 15 and October 15, the voting phase will take place, where young people will choose the official virtual assistant.
The most voted design will be integrated into Decide Madrid JOVEN as the portal's assistant and a key identifying element. Additionally, the 20 participants with the most support will have the opportunity to attend an in-person professional design workshop to further develop their proposals. The 20 finalist designs may also become new avatars for the platform.
This consultation marks the beginning of participatory activities on Decide Madrid JOVEN, the City Council's new digital platform for young residents of Madrid, which became operational on May 4. The tool aims to facilitate the involvement of this age group in public affairs, providing a secure environment for consultations, proposals, and access to relevant content.
